Securus Adds More than 50 New Features to Its Secure Call Platform (SCP) in 2010
01.24.2011

Dallas, TX —/PRNewswire/-- Securus Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of inmate communications services, today announced it added more than 50 newly enhanced features to the industry’s leading call management system, Secure Call Platform (SCP), during 2010. These enhancements, along with the more than 60 new features and functions released in 2009, demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing its correctional facility customers with the most comprehensive array of call management and investigative technology available in the corrections industry.

“Access to advanced call management technology creates so many advantages for our customers,” said Joshua Conklin, Vice President of Sales for Securus. “If providers don’t keep up [with technology]—their customers are left behind.” He continued, “We invest millions of dollars each year to ensure all 1,400 of our SCP customers are equipped with the industry’s most advanced tools and technology. This is our commitment, and our achievements in 2010 demonstrate our efforts to fulfill this promise. We continue to upgrade our installed base of legacy platforms to SCP and are on-track to complete our migration efforts by 2013.”

Features and functions added to SCP in 2010 emphasized important usability improvements for administrators and investigators. These powerful and fully integrated enhancements helped users:

  • Improve control over inmate calls
  • Increase investigative and fraud detection capabilities
  • Enhance reporting
  • Track user accountability

With SCP’s centralized platform architecture, all standard upgrades were made available to all SCP sites immediately upon release, and without operational interruptions.

“Securus continues to add the features and functionality SCP users want,” said Adam Edwards, Senior Product Development Manager for Securus’ SCP. “These enhancements clearly demonstrate our commitment to maintain SCP as the industry’s most technology-advanced platform.”
